After selling stamps on the Internet for more than 10 years, I decided to open my own store with latest shopping cart and social features. This is not my first online store. I create a website to sell stamps since 1997. I also sell stamps on eBay and Yahoo!Kimo (Taiwan).
E-Commerce is growing and changes very fast. I sell stamps on eBay before it's IPO in 1998. It's a very happy time for all of the participants, buyers, sellers, and eBay. During the past 11 years, eBay make a lot of money and demands more and more from sellers, it makes me stop selling on eBay 2 years ago. I am very happy to do that and might not back to eBay for selling, at least not selling a lot.
My last website for stamps is not only a stamp store, it is a very simple cooperative website. I desgined it use ASP (not ASP.NET) 12 years ago. The primary feature is collecting information and images of stamps. Registered users can upload their stamps or input stamp issuing data, and I pay stamps to them. The website collects information of more than 6000 sets and 30000 images of stamps.
Today we have more advanced technology and more people can participate such a project. I plan to strongly integrated with Facebook and extend the possibility of this database. I created a Facebook Group World Stamp Catalog Project and invite all friends have the same vision to join us. The stamps sold on this shop are also used to fund this project. More features to be introduced in the future to accelerate this project.
Today, I am very happy to open this store. It's a beginning and we will provide more items and features in the future. If there is anything we can imporve our services, please contact us and we will do our best to make our customers 100% satisfaction.
